Release notes
The downloadable version of Waveform Studio is a standalone local app built from the open source code. It runs entirely on your own machine — no internet connection or account required.
Note: AI transcription is not yet available in the standalone version. You can open and edit existing transcripts, but new transcription requires a connected Whisper server or the hosted cloud app.
Want to run the full app yourself? The source code is available on GitLab. Deploy it on your own server to get AI transcription and multi-user support.
Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
Not available for macOS or Linux.
Create an account to use the hosted version of Waveform Studio, which includes AI transcription and cloud storage. The hosted service is currently invite-only — you'll receive an email when your account is activated.
Prefer to run it yourself? The app is open source and free to self-host.
